Today is the vernal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, meaning it’s the first day of spring.

Look around. Everything’s bursting into color. Oh, and the flowers are coming up, too!

Spring has sprung, and that means one important thing to our feathered friends. Time to build a nest!

The weaver bird shows off impressive beak-knitting skills.

Bald eagles need room. And lots of it.

Hummingbirds just want a cozy nook.

White storks like roof access.

Swallows prefer a wall. And some mud.

Eurasian coots like a waterfront view.

And this is what it’s ALL about. These beautiful sparrow’s eggs couldn’t ask for a homier dwelling.
